Heat treatment area

Hardening is a heat treatment process that consists in heating parts and then rapidly cooling them in order to obtain high strength, hardness and wear resistance. Tempering is a heat treatment process consisting of heating hardened products and their subsequent cooling (usually in air). Vacation is carried out immediately after hardening. The purpose of tempering is to eliminate stresses that can cause cracking, as well as to increase toughness and ductility while reducing the brittleness of hardened parts. Hardening of steel with subsequent high tempering is called IMPROVEMENT. Hardening with tempering is carried out for parts made from structural (35, 40X, 40X13, 45, 65G, etc.) and tool (U7, U12, Kh12MF, KhVG, 4Kh5MFS, etc.) steels and alloys.

At Arya Super Auto Forge, hardening and tempering is carried out in shaft and chamber furnaces equipped with microprocessor programmable modules.

Technical characteristics of equipment for hardening and tempering:

  • power - up to 93 kW;
  • working chamber dimensions (width × height × depth) – 720 × 850 × 1600 mm. Examples of hardened and tempered parts:
  • die equipment (matrices, punches, signs, inserts, etc.);
  • body parts;
  • fasteners (bolts, screws, nuts, studs);
  • gear wheels;
  • gear shafts;
  • splined shafts;
  • coupling half;
  • bushings;
  • axes;
  • cams, etc.
